Didn't I make these last year? Where was my $1.7 million pre-opening? Maybe I should have thrown in the bronze. There goes my chance of making more. Definitely jealous of Mr. Baker.

Just found out that there is a limited edition version of the Sketch Theatre Vol. 1 book with me on the cover. There are only 300 and will be available at the San Diego comic con(Baby Tattoo booth 4712) where I will be around to sign.

brushin off the dust

It's been a few since I picked up a brush but after 3 times painting over it...I'm finally semi-happy with the start of my first painting.

This next body of work will be painted on oil primed belgian linen. I've never used such nice materials before. I guess I'll see what all the hubub is about. Hopefully worth the price.

In the beginning...

...God said, "Don't be an artist. It's a ton of work, ridiculously stressful and makes you question yourself constantly. Oh, and there's a 99.9% chance you're never going to make any real money. Buuuut, it is pretty fun and fulfilling and you get to drink on the job."

That is how the bible goes, right? I haven't read it in a while. Anyway..most of the sketches are done for the coming shows in the fall. I'll be showing in a fair in LA in September that should be pretty huge and also a great fair in London in October. Process shots and more info will come as the journey progresses.
